My UX Journey 🌍 🎨

2021

As a recent graduate in Information Technology Engineering, I found myself at a crossroads, uncertain about my next steps. While exploring various online courses, I discovered UX design. It was a perfect fit for my natural empathy, research skills, and creativity. After completing the Google UX certification course, I sought further validation through internships.

Securing an internship at Richedu, a Canada-based startup, I served as the design lead for a team of over 15 interns. This first professional experience taught me invaluable lessons in team management, collaboration, and navigating startup dynamics.

2022

Moved to New York to pursue a Master's in Human-Centered Design. From forming amazing new connections to learning from some of the most supportive and encouraging professors at Pace University, my first year in New York was a rewarding chapter in my educational journey 🌻.

Summer 2023

Got accepted into the CBIA3 project, a collaboration with none other than CERN.

Travelled to Geneva for a two-week abroad program, and had the once in a lifetime opportunity to work at the CERN workspace 🚀, blending science with design, brainstorming innovative solutions to real-world problems.

Spring 2024

Graduated with honors 🎓 and received the Human-Centered Design Award from my university—a nice way to cap off an amazing learning experience ✨

Secured a breakthrough internship at SAP, marking my exciting first dive into the corporate world and the thrill of tackling fast-paced projects!

Fall 2023

During this time, I worked on five academic projects, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of UX design. Additionally, I participated in a hackathon with Monday.com and Shenkar University, where our team tackled real-world problems, further honing my skills and knowledge.

Hey there! I'm Saumya,

A recent graduate with a Master's in Human-Centered Design from Pace University in New York City.

My journey with UX began back in India, in 2020 during my bachelor's degree, through a desire to explore new skills that resonated with my passions. With an engineering background, finding a field that blended my love for design, psychology, and research felt like hitting the jackpot!

You might find me wandering around the city, uncovering hidden cafe gems in my free time 🌆🧋
